PCB Capacitors

Prior to 1980, capacitors were insulated with highly-concentrated PCB containing fluid similar to askarel transformers.
Capacitors range widely in size, the largest of which are used for "Power Factor Correction" (PFC).
PCB Disposal will remove and dispose of any capacitors regardless of size and quantity.

Important Notes:
The new federal PCB Regulations published in the Canada Gazette Sept 17/08 require that all in-service PCB PFC capacitors be replaced by Dec 31/09.
Fusion sealed capacitors, if they are used in relation to communication equipment or electronic control equipment, are exempt from the Dec 31, 2009 removal deadline
